I spent my 20th birthday on Fraser Island which is beautiful. It is one of the world heritage sites with it’s famous/ and beautiful Lake McKenzie pictured in the background. It is an 100% sand island and the water goes through 2 reservoirs and takes about 100 years to come through the sand to the surface so it is beautiful fresh water.In the background is our four wheel drive bus that we rode all over the island jumping sand rocks and fording pretty large creeks.
