I slept in again while they all worked and today was a Surprise Kitchen Tea for Alex ( A bridal shower) so we made up the deck and had a lovely party and I got to meet most of the family and friends of Bre’s family which was fun. It was nice to meet “real” Australians. It was a fun time. One of the tasks was to give marital advice to the bride. Well obviously I don’t have any advice and the stuff my Grandma has given me didn’t quite work because I didn’t know the couple to know how it would be taken. So I asked Bre if I could do a witty one. Neville Bre’s dad had been joking in the car the night before about the way to keep a woman happy was Barefoot and Pregnant. So my quote was “don’t listen to anything your father in-law says” Which got a good laugh and then Sandy called Neville and told him and he got a good laugh from it. I think it earned me points that I could joke with him after meeting him the day before. Then Bre and I did some more driving we went out to a couple more beaches and had a gander. They were beautiful we also visited Barraville which is a “booming Metropolis” NOT I think all it had was a pub it was pretty dodgy. I can’t even give you a WA or OH comparison. It was that Unique.
