PAINTAPALOOZA!!!!!!

When I have told people about Paintapalooza the general consensus is you did what? and why? and how?
It is very simple:

Step 1: Idea pop's into my head- Based off remembering the wonderful movie 10 Things I hate about You. Where Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger have a paint balloon fight in gas works park or somewhere like that.

Step 2: Talk/think through the possibilities of our actions being seen as crimnal. Find a location where we will not create any permanent damage.
Step 3: Compare prices and quanities of paint. Washable vs Latex, How to get the most paint for our limited budget, putting down plastic to create less damage.

Step 4: Decide to go with latex paint

Step 5 : Decide that Latex paint is not worth the cheap factor because it is to permanent so we decided to go with Washable and pay more.
Step 6: Create Facebook Group and find a location that is out of the way

Step 7: Friday afternoon in the glorious sunshine at 1:00 start filling water balloons with half paint, half water.
Step 8: 5:00 go to Joanns and buy more paint and get dinner

Step 9: Get the rest of the crew to help blow up the last few balloons.

Step 10: Load up all 240 of the paint balloons and drive to our location.

Step 11: FIGHT!!!!

Step 12: Trip to Mom's for soda on Ben (because he has a lot of flex dollars left)

Step 13: Shower and discover that every layer of our clothes have been dyed... even layers we did not mean to dye Ooops!

April 10, 2009 - Pre Easter Party

Annie reminded me of Donna Reed. She changed into the dress to show off her $.25 dress. Yep that is right I didn't get the decimal wrong it was 25 cents.

Friday night Annie and Katie hosted a Pre Easter party for some friends who were not able to go home for Easter. It was a good time of meeting new friends, girl talk and I introduced a lot of them to Sydney White. Which is one of my new favorite movies. It is a modern day spin off of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs using Fraternity's and Sororities. It is Great If you haven't seen it you are missing out.

April 8, 2009 - "Tear Drops on my Guitar"

Well not literal tear drops but kind of figurative ones.
The pictures pretty much explain everything...
I went to Scheide the music builiding on campus to practice with Annie for our Large Group meeting worship. While we were getting set up my guitar fell over in its case. It was kind of like a lumberjack had fallen a tree but it was my guitar. So I was like No worries that is why we have cases.... Well not so much... I opened the case and the strings had gone crazy and I looked at my Guitar and saw this... The neck had split...Sad day for Julie.
I went and had it estimated and it will be at least $100 just to get it glued which will may or may not hold and will always look broken. The guy at the Music Store (Wooster only has one) told me if it were him he would replace it... You kind of think going into these places that they are trying to just get you to buy something but he was like I think you should go home and sleep on it and then come back and I will help you out.

So I am in the figuring it out process... Do I try and replace it, repair it, repair it myself and see if I can make do for the next year because I am not going to move a guitar all over the world... Any suggestions would be helpful. (Oh I wouldn't do it myself but I have a friend that is pretty good with repairs)

April 8, 2009- Broadway Musical Review

I wasn't able to see Miatta and Claire perform at the Broadway Musical Review because I had a group project meeting. But I heard they did wonderful and I couldn't pass up the photo opportunity. Miatta sang a song from Wicked thus the green body. I thought this was pretty impressive.

April 6, 2009 - Buying Easter Cards

I went to F.C.O a card store to buy Easter cards to mail to people. I was so dissapointed with the selection. I think I found one card (and it was not pretty) that mentioned the resurection. It was so sad that not one mentioned Jesus the whole reason for Easter.
I found some that weren't 100% horrible and then wrote in my message!

He is RISEN!

March 2009 -Dinner Out

Fun Dinners: Sarah's Sister was on Spring Break so she came down and spent a night at Hider House. We went to dinner at Coccia House. It apparently is the BEST pizza restaurant in Wooster maybe even Ohio... I don't know why people say that. Neither Claire or I enjoyed the Pizza. But the evening was fun.
