April 8, 2011 - NW Ministry Conference

The Northwest Ministry Conference 2011. Jared and I hosted the Stonewater Ranch booth on Friday. It was a really fun day with lots of great conversations. As soon as the conference was over we headed back to Plain to be a part of Raft training Tech IV.

April 7, 2011 - Meeting up with Yuta

Jared( the other intern) and I went to Seattle to host Stonewater Ranch's booth at the NW Ministry conference. The timing worked out perfectly because my friend Yuta was visiting Seattle from Japan. So we were able to meet up for dinner. The only downside was that Jared and I struggled to find the Starbucks we were suppose to meet Yuta at. Luckily he had his computer but even the internet wasn't of that much help. We asked 4 different people and 2 cabbies and none of them knew what we were talking about. One gentlemen said he was lost as well and that he had been looking for his car for the last 1/2 hour.

I met Yuta while studying in Australia. We both lived at Menzies and went to Steve's for Mid-Semester Break.

March 21, 2011- Powder Day Party at Stevens

After Big Shindig we had planned to use our day off to go up to Stevens Pass to ski. Because Emily and Gabe were on spring break they got to stick around and join us. It was for a great day of fresh powder. Probably the most powder I have evers skied in. It was a great ski day but also a great community building day.

March 28, 2011- I.S Monday

It is amazing that one year ago I was celebrating I.S. Monday myself.  When you are an underclassmen at Wooster you hear all of the time that I.S Monday will always hold a special place in your heart but I never really believed it but they were so right. There is just something about the fact that generations of Wooster students have been celebrating the accomplishment of completing their Independent Study Thesis. One of my Wooster friends wrote a blog entry about his Wooster experience that is a good read if you want to check it out.
While this year's IS Monday was not nearly as exciting as last years. Mainly because I am one year removed from the stress that is IS and the sheer joy that is experienced when you turn it in. It was still a great day where you get to look back fondly on four years at Wooster and the IS experience and know that you did it. As my friend Kyle stated he feels like he is now a member of an elite club and it is so true. Your membership can't be revoked because you have your number and IS button to prove it.
