March 22, 2010- I.S Monday!!!

The whole campus comes out to celebrate. These are my suite mates and best friends.

The registrar and another faculty member lead the parade.

The bagpipes are staple for any Wooster celebration.

I.S Monday is a day of celebration at the College of Wooster. It is the first day back from Spring Break and all seniors independent study/ thesis project is due by 5pm. Some turn it in early, others turn it in at 4:48pm.... I was on the early side. When you turn it in you get a button with your number on it that seniors wear proudly. Most seniors don't attend class on I.S monday. I went to drop off a paper that was due but didn't stay long. At 5pm when everyone has turned in their I.S we congregate at Kauke Arch for the I.S parade. There is lots of mayhem and people who have been celebrating for the entire day. It is quite the sight to behold, and has become a tradition with a life of its own.

March 20, 2010- Lyndhurst Castle, First Day of Spring

I was so excited to finally be wearing shorts!
I headed back to the city to spend the last couple days with Jennifer before I drove back to Ohio. It all of a sudden turned warm! Like 75 degrees it was wonderful. Jennifer and I spent Saturday outside of the city. We headed to the Lyndhurst Castle and then a dam for another photography vacation.

March 16, 2010- A Working Spring Break

For part of Spring Break I headed out to Andrew and Kristina's house. While I was there they had several trees fallen so that we could clean them up and get rid of them. We made lots of trips to dump the branches. It really made me appreciate and miss the dump trailer. They also got baby chickens. They are raising them on the farm for eggs and meat.
Apparently it is normal for chicks to come through the united States Mail. We went to the post office to pick them up and we could hear them chirping in the back room.
These guys were quite the sight as they climbed the trees, repelled down, jumped to the next tree. Of course they were tied down but it was more gutsy then most professions.
We spent time at the farm taking care of the horses. Here is Andrew with his horse Luke
