May 28- 29, 2011 – WFA

All of our guides are certified at least a basic level in Wilderness First Aid. Most of our full time staff are trained as Wilderness First Responders. This was the one thing that I was NOT looking forward to. I don’t do blood, guts, scars or wounds. (you get the picture) But I understand the need to be prepared for anything. WFA is a little different then normal first aid because your average first aid training really just tells you to call 911. But we aren’t going to have that option since we are in the backcountry and 911 isn’t 6 minutes away. The class wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be I actually enjoyed it.
