June 8-9, 2011-Challenge Course Training

One of the aspects of our trips that we offer is Challenge Course. It is a low ropes course. We got to spend time learning how to facilitate the different challenges as well as the initiatives we use to create experiential learning situations for the students and staff we work with.
I would like to also point out that Phill looks like the All-American 1950's guy in this well minus the sleeve tattoos.
Below: This challenge is made up of two steel cables in the shape of a V. The point of this challenge is that both people have to be all in. If one person is not fully committed with a straight body then you are not able to complete the task.  It is also a opportunity to learn about community and the need for people to be around you to support you and catch you when you fall.
Practicing our spotting.
