September 12, 2010- "Send Off" Celebration

Some wonderful friends hosted a send off party for me before I left for Plain, WA. It was a lovely chance for my supporters to meet eachother and celebrate the ministry they are now a part of.

August 28, 2010- Family Weekend in Eastern, WA

We all went to my aunt and uncles cabin in Eastern, WA for a fun weekend away. Of course fun in our family includes chopping wood, hiking, cleaning the roof of pine needles and spending lots of quality time together.
We also celebrated my aunts birthday.

August 8, 2010- Seafair Weekend

Seafair weekend is a big deal in Seattle. The Blue Angels come and they put on a great show. This year the weather was not cooperating so they had to do the 'low' show though we all think it could have been classified as the super low show. It felt like the planes were flying 100 ft over our heads.

This year we witnessed the show from the 'sea' The family went out on Lake Washington to enjoy the show. Sitting in a boat for a couple hours without the motor running and other boats not obeying the no wake rule made for some green people but it still was a lovely afternoon.

My cousin and I started out on the jet ski but it was way to choppy so we tied it to the boat and climbed on board with the rest of the fam.On the way back to the dock we hit a wall of water created by all the boats so we were freezing. But then the neighbor lost these items off his boat so we hoped in and rescued them with our full body wetsuits and booties.
Our themed dessert.

August 7, 2010- Hull/Snyder Wedding

We got to celebrate the marriage of an family friend from way back when. It was one of the best wedding receptions I have ever been to. They had a conference bike that everyone got a turn on as we enjoyed the lovely Washington rain. All of the guests were great sports about the rain and we just had a fun afternoon celebrating their marriage. Best receptions and one of the best exits from a wedding.

July 31, 2010- Great Urban Race

I went up to Seattle for a fun saturday with my cousin. We participated in the Seattle Great Urban Race. It is like a mini amazing race that sent us all around seattle doing silly tasks and documenting them.
We had to go to the Columbia Flagship store and pack a backpack.
Take a photo with a cockroach... I wasn't going to do that!
We accomplished two things in one. We had to honk a strangers horn and hand shake with a dog.
This clown was a 'tad' creepy!

At the finish line in 3 hrs and 46 min.

On the drive home. This is reason number 345 why I love Washington!

July 4, 2010- Happy Cold 4th of July

I flew out of Cleveland at 8 and I landed in Seattle around 11 am (gotta love the time zone change) Alyssa picked me up at the airport where we had a few hours to kill before the 4th of July festivities began so we made our 4th of July dessert. Sadly, it was not a warm 4th instead it was a very cold one where we sat in the house wrapped in blankets watching the fireworks.

We made bald eagles and dirt cups. Obviously bald eagles in celebration of our nation and dirt cups in celebration of Matthew's birthday.

July 3, 2010- Bonus Day in Ohio

I got an extra day to spend with friends before I flew back to WA from the wedding. It was great because my friend Ben flew in from India on the 3rd so I got to see him. I had breakfast with Annie and then Miatta, Eowyn and I spent the day watching movies and just enjoyed being together. Then we headed up to Cleveland to see Ben and get some Ice Cream. Well it was to see the fireworks but apparently they weren't until the following night.

Sunset on Lake Erie
No worries, he never dropped her.
Ice Cream! At this point I think Ben had been awake for 35 hours or something horrible like that and I had to fly out the next morning to go back to Washington.
