From Ohio we went through Indiana to Champaign, IL where we stayed with some of mom's family during the training I went to at the U of I..jpg)

Somewhere along the way in Iowa at one of the million gas stations we stopped out we saw these signs. We found it really funny that instead of fixing anything they just posted a note.
Not that funny but when we went inside to get A&W for lunch Jessica found this on the bathroom door.
Our first night in Iowa was the Sat. of memorial day. Needless to say we got probably the last campsite. In the end we weren't even really in our own spot because someone else was in our assigned place.
From Iowa we headed into South Dakota with a quick stop in Nebraska and Minnesota so we could add them to our list of states we had been in. South Dakota is REALLY FLAT! Not that it is a new shocker. But wow, there really isn't much to see on 1-90. So needless to say when we saw something we stopped. Except for Wall Drug. I refused to stop at Wall Drug because of all their advertisements. But we did stop in Mitchell, SD at the Corn Palace.
This was at the Corn Palace and was REALLY CREEPY!!! Zeke was missing several of his wooden fingers.
We spent the night at the Mt. Rushmore KOA. It was like camping resort though sadly we got there just in time to go to bed and woke up and had to hit the road.
Mt. Rushmore in the background.
After Rushmore we headed to Crazy Horse. It is similair to Mt. Rushmore in that it is a statue being carved out of a rock face the difference is Crazy Horse has a long way to go. But they did do blasting because it was memorial day.
From SD we headed into WY. Where as you can see it got a little colder. We stopped and bought a hot pot so we could make cocoa and soup. We had eaten enough fast food at this point..jpg)
We headed into Grand Teton National Park the next morning. It was beautiful but sadly there was an intense fog that didn't lift until we were almost done and headed to Yellowstone.
Making lunch and freezing.
Sadly though, we never did see a bear. I was a little disappointed by this. But I did see lots of Buffalo, Bull Elk, and Mountain Goats.
This is about when we decided that we weren't going to sleep in a tent that night.
From Yellowstone to Bozeman, MT to have ice cream with Jamie then off to Richland, WA to visit S&K then HOME!!!
